    Recently interacted with Tiger Brokers and thought this info might be useful for some of you dealing with similar scenarios. Just a FYI:

    We are pleased to confirm that we can facilitate the transfer of US shares holding from Depository Trust Company(DTC, which is equivalent to broker sponsored holdings in Australia). Please follow the instructions below to transfer/sale your shares:

    1. Receipt of Notification: Once your CDI stocks are nearing delisting on ASX, you will receive a notification from the share registry. This notification will contain detailed information about the delisting, timeframes, and the available action options.

    2. Action Options: Typically, the notification will present several action options, and you can choose the one that best suits your needs:

    a) For example, opting for the sale facility to sell your stocks.

    b) Alternatively, transferring the stocks to another brokerage that supports trading in the shares on US market, such as Tiger Brokers AU. If you choose to continue holding the stocks, as a CHESS holder, you need to:

    i. Contact your sponsoring broker to convert the CDIs to an issuer-sponsored holding. Normally this can be done via sending a signed request to your broker to transfer your CDI holding from broker sponsored to issuer sponsored holding. Once this is done and you received your issuer sponsored holding statement via email/post;

    ii. Complete the CDI cancellation form sent by the share registry to convert the CDIs to common stock, allowing you to continue trading on the U.S. market. In the form, you are required to provide accurate DTC information to ensure the transfer of your stocks to Tiger Brokers Australia. Upon completion, you will receive an electronic version of the U.S. stocks' holding statement in Australia.
