I hear ya... I still can't get E*Trade US and Computershare US to work with each other, so my shares are still stuck. At least I'm not experiencing any charges throughout. I learnt a long time ago that US institutions are utterly hopeless when someone doesn't have a SSN. They simply don't know what to do until you find the 1 in 100 who know their systems inside and out.
