I agree that one of the motivations of the anti-lefties HC posters is a fear of the concept of being concerned with the welfare of others. Especially others who aren't members of their own culture.
For example many seem upset about taxpayer money targeted at assisting aborigines. Some of them seem to exhibit guilt feelings and so imagine nasty lefties are trying to make them feel guilty. So instead of thinking rationally they respond in a senseless attack mode. This seems to be independent of their intelligence levels.
