So in short how do we do it.I believe it is not a simple
task by using other company comparisons from M&A activity
and other metrics. The value of a company is NOT just about
how much of a resource it has at spot price value but what
is required to sell and earn dollars at spot price.
If esg for example was located in the surat basin QLD then
its sp would probably be $3 but its not.For esg to get to
the stage of having its potentialy large gas reserves online and tapped into a gas main, lots of buisness decisins have to be made and lots of money needs to be spent in the future. It is when this is done one day that esg will realise its full potential and not before.
So the question is who is going to make the decision to pay lots of dollars upfront and monetise esg's gas.For one
i don't think it will be this useless NSW labor government and secondly i don't think it will be Santos cause they have no cash.
