same. The more I think about logistics of it opening a bank account over there, changing the default bank account CommSec nominate, the less enthusiastic I am.

when my SMSF is in pension phase I will make sure that I don’t hold any in my SMSF all holdings are external where I should still be paying some tax.

just make sure you are currently giving your accountant the dividend statements when doing your tax for CNU. They might be able to claim back some of the withholding tax.

if you’re talking really big numbers, I would be talking to your accountant definitely to follow this up so that you can claim back the franking credit and there is no withholding tax.

… I’ve got this on the to-do list but there’s a lot of complexities..
I would do the NZ tax return myself l guess.
