He bled and felt pain? No doubt that is the intention of crucifixion. Idolatry? Yes, from a Muslim perspective. Is the veneration of Mohammed idolatry? Yes, from a Christian perspective.
The real problem is not so much the differences in perceptions, but the violence that comes with it.
