Years later, Quasimodo sees Esmeralda in the street and he rushes over to say hello. Esmeralda however, doesn't seem to be able to recognise him.
"Come on, Esmeralda," prods Quosimodo. "Surely you can remember me, I saved your life."
Esmeralda examines him closely, then concludes, "I can't remember your name but your face rings a bell!"
