That mustang was a ridiculous project. These car companies will learn the hard way, especially in America, you can't just make a drop in replacement for the "macho" gas guzzlers for the small penis brigade. They're so afraid of losing their image that they start losing profits.
EVs, on the whole, need to be marketed to people who actually want to buy them, not to placate petrol heads.
