To start wtih you will not be able to put pressure on shorters, unless you have at lease a lazy $100m laying around. Refering to Gamestop, well that was over 100% short, we are still only at 11% no real comparison there.
This was always going to be shorted, it always happens to explorers transitioning to producers as there are almost always some teething problems. All you can do is be patient and keep the faith (obviously this is the most difficult thing in investing).
Management cant do anything about the share price, they just need to focus on getting production to its most efficient. The SP will then follow.
