I always remember this guy at work years & years ago… got talking about the stock market , and he asked me what my yearly return was … I’d had a few good years and average was around 34% over a 3 yr period from memory …( he said Bullshit 34% ? …I think I need to change Fund Managers I get about 5% yrly return ( yet it was in a period that making 30+% really wasn’t that hard ) moral to the story is it put me off seeking “Professional help” as in Managed Funds if they are only going to give me 5% return when as a “ Mug Punter “ I was getting 34% … I realise they have to make money but not the Bulk of it out of me anyway… end of the day I’ve had some big losses along the way as well , but I do OK .. PS if I was to sit down with a “Professional Investor “ or “ Financial Advisor “ whatever they’re are called , I really couldn’t see them recommending the likes of EUR & AZL maybe BHP , RIO , even PLS but surely not penny dreadfuls …
