Before we go underground there needs to be a series of significant dewatering bores around the perimeter of the site to keep the water table down. Similar to what was done at Woodcutters silver lead and zinc mine relatively nearby and also Ranger at Jabiru when they went underground A few spots of rain in the pit is nothing but very different when underground mining. But I am sure the team in control are well aware of this. Well hope so. Having said that the water table level has dropped significantly over the last 20 or so years but still an issue that needs addressing.
