I am not suggesting that June 30 will be the day that CBA share price will reverse, although it might, I am suggesting from a capital gains tax point of view, it is easy to look at your portfolio & sell non-performing shares at a loss & balance that loss with the sales of CBA shares & any other sales made during the year in order to avoid or minimise capital gains tax in the 2024/25 financial year.
You do not have to be a rocket scientist to work that one out. Some people might not think of doing it.
