an obnoxious plan from obnoxous people. bet most of them have investment houses and want them filled. how dare people use accommodation that suits their own needs on their own property.
many years ago justice brandeis in the us said - “In a government of laws, existence of the government will be imperiled if it fails to observe the law scrupulously. Our government is the potent, the omnipresent teacher. For good or ill, it teaches the whole people by its example. Crime is contagious. If the government becomes a lawbreaker, it breeds contempt for law, it invites every man to become a law unto himself, and it invites anarchy.”
if the criminal outfits loosely known as governments in australia keep exerting their brand of criminality and over-regulation on the people they will simply encourage them to become actual criminals which will increasingly foreshadow a harsher hand from the govt.
this odious proposition is nothing more than an over exuberance of a need to control people. if the govt cannot and does not abide by the rule of law instead of making laws in which people become criminals then as the judge said anarchy can be the only result.
a mans home is his castle and this tenet was firmly established under common law centuries ago. thanks to an overly authoritarian government this is no longer the case and they use statutory law to rip our freedoms asunder
