Keating as a junior minister in the Whitlam Government witnessed first-hand that poor economic management turns the people against you, he learnt that lesson well and went on under Hawke to become the greatest Treasurer this country has ever had, with the majority of Australians standard of living improving under Hawke/Keating. That’s why Hawke/Keating won 4 consecutive terms in Government.

The clowns running the show now have learnt nothing from the Whitlam era, and deserve to get booted at the next election.

People care about being able to put food on the table and having a safe place to live in.

With all those increases can someone explain what item(s) decreased so dramatically to bring the AVERAGE rate of inflation down to 4.1% ???? Anyone?
