A mining company giving back a HUGE chunk of money because they didn't have anything else better to do with it - over how many years ?. This would be the last thing I would want if I was a shareholder. how embarrassing.

I remember clearly many many moons ago every week my mum would give me savings money to put into the schools nominated saving bank. the banks would then invest that money by lending it out for mortgages etc. the bank would make profit we would get interest the company (bank) would grow, basic common sense. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect for the bank to return a huge amount of my savings and say we have really no idea what to do with it.
