It is an interesting interview. Looking at the first six minutes in particular, there's a lot of points I'd agree with.
If there was one takeaway I'd underline it's this. In the West, we're constantly distracting ourselves from important strategic decisions with meaningless things - reality TV, celebrity spats, gotcha media, culture wars etc. In China, they have eradicated their history and are approaching each problem like engineers. Like a rising tide or flooding river, the push forward of China is relentless.
