I might be presuming wrong, but going from the way you've written it I've guessed you're opening the account in your daughter's name when I make this comment... If so, be careful with any income and capital gains earned pre-18 as they're taxed at the highest rate in children's names to stop high-income earners from distributing wealth through their family...
If you've just set it up in your wife and/or your own name then ignore the above - might be worth double checking your setup/strategy with an adviser though.
