Yeah I don't disagree about ego, but then we applauded his ego when he bought rothsay and Deflector and acquired the Canadian mine He is greedy and the acquisition in Canada also showed him to be sneaky bastard. This however makes him predictable. If this bid is rejected He will come back with a better offer for RED, and from our point of view why should we accept his first offer, make him fight for it.
If you were selling a car , you dont only consider the first offer
He could buy other mines but I don't mind growth, This RED merger puts him into the big league He wont walk away unless forced
