Shorts have been consistently slipping in pre -AG announcements, go back look at available data. It made hard men cry to see trading into 80c and had to be stopped this time.
As overall comment: collectively shorts have made few hundred million dollars from AG news last 10 months. Borrow been getting harder and harder to come by - limiting shorting opportunity. Roughly 30m short chips left on table, in scheme of AG's career earnings for shorters, the $25m bet left is just peanuts. Unless Mel and Technicals work at McGN.
