I think it has a lot to do with timing. I believe they are trying to squeeze as many daytraders out as possible.
Due to the fact they know its way undervalued compared to the updated forecast that is coming out. Remember the astute investor buys on the lows (or forced lows as is now). Its so easy to sell at a 100% premium after all the good info comes out.
