    about a week ago, watso got the tail end of a news story - something about cotton farmers in senegal having problems competing with imports of second hand clothing.  part of the story was how much textile waste some western countries produce - the winner was USA, which produces 30kg per person  per year...

    it almost seems that people buy new clothes, instead of washing them.
