In case you might not know an open-source blockchain is such that the technology' software code is freely available for users like us to view, use and modify and this will allow developers from around the world contribute to such a project which could help to ensure the code is secure, reliable and is improved upon in future.
In my opinion, this is how the public blockchain was intended to operate including Bitcoin, which has given it a good security. Another good example of a project like this is the OMAX which has its own blockchain as well, which of course I know will redefine how we do crypto in future.
My concern remains how well informed about this protocol are folks who are active in the crypto presently.
