The Chinese government grades people according to their behavior. This is called “social engineering,” and citizens are ranked and rated according to their behavior.
The government measures people’s behavior to decide which benefits they are entitled to. Those who become conspicuous for traffic violations, fare evasion or parking violations are no longer entitled to all public services and rights. In addition, Internet activity will also be used to judge behavior. People who do bad things on the Internet (or whose searches are considered questionable) are marked as ‘black’. People who engage in ‘responsible’ activity are subjected to increased scrutiny.
It’s called a Social Credit Score, and Western governments will soon follow. And they are doing so with great enthusiasm. Maybe it hasn’t reached your city yet, but it will, for sure.
China has led the way because the Chinese system is more ruthless and efficient than anything the West has to offer. The Chinese government has more control over everything, and the people don’t have much control over anything.
In China, there is one camera for every two people, and the cameras are equipped with facial recognition technology that can pick out a person from a soccer crowd in less time. Computers in supermarkets monitor how much you spend on alcohol, cigarettes, sweets and fatty foods. You lose points if you spend too much on the wrong kind of food.
Local authorities measure how much you recycle, and cameras in trash cans show the computers how much food you threw away and how much excess packaging you had to dispose of. Of course, social credit scores already exist in the Western world, and they have been slowly introduced.
In the UK, for example, drivers of more expensive cars have to pay a special, massively increased tax for using a car on the road. This is a blatant punishment for spending a lot of money on a car. Citizens who drive electric cars, on the other hand, don’t have to pay anything to build, maintain and repair roads. They are exempt from the tax because they are “good” citizens. Their cars use the roads just as much as cars powered by gasoline or diesel, but they are exempt from the tax. Drivers of gasoline or diesel-powered cars are penalized as “bad” citizens and must pay higher and higher taxes each year to fund the roads. The system ignores the fact that electric cars are demonstrably no better for the environment than cars with gasoline or diesel engines. If you drive your car into a city, you have to pay a special penalty. If you live in a house that is bigger than you need, you will be downgraded and your taxes will go up. If you have spare rooms, you will be penalized. If you do a useful job, perform and donate money to charity, you get extra points. If you criticize the government, you lose points.
Of course, if you are away from home, the authorities always know where you are. If you misbehave, you can’t go far from home. If you don’t follow all health rules, you can’t travel on public transportation, fly anywhere, or go abroad. If your Social Security rating deteriorates, you cannot borrow money, buy a house, or book a decent hotel room.
If your rating drops too much, you won’t be allowed to go to the hospital, and if you accidentally get in, they’ll hang a no-go sign around your neck. You’ll get bonus points if you live in a tiny, modern, poorly built apartment with thin walls and absolutely no privacy, but you’ll lose those points if you keep a pet or complain about anything.
If you spend too much on clothes or shoes, your rating goes down, and if you save money, you’re classified as guilty and can’t rent a car, get a promotion at work, use a gym, or send your kids to a school with textbooks.
If you cause a lot of trouble, you will find that your Internet speeds will slow to a crawl, and if you have your own business and mess with city government officials, you will not get help with planning problems or be able to get official government contracts.
If you do not dress appropriately in public or are seen crossing the street when the traffic light is against you, you will be photographed and your picture will be published. If you have an argument with a neighbor, your pictures will be published on a billboard near your home and you will be discredited. If you are behind on your taxes, you will be flagged for regular audits, your business will be inspected once a week, and your picture will appear on a billboard on the Internet. It will be impossible for you to obtain licenses, permits and loans that you may need.
In restaurants, cameras will examine your manners, your eating habits, and the amount of food you leave on your plate, all of which will affect your social credit score.

You get points for donating blood, lose points for surrounding yourself with low-scoring people, get penalized for spending money frivolously or not praising the government on social media.
Eating meat or engaging in inappropriate activities will result in a heavy points deduction, as will placing too much trash in public trash cans. Facial recognition cameras in trash cans will see and penalize you and reduce food credit.
If you don’t have the right number of children, are overweight and own land, you lose social points. In the UK, the Office for National Statistics has already claimed that childless women will be a burden on the state because they have no one to take care of them.
Not having a smart electricity meter will result in a point deduction, as will any example of civil disobedience. Chronic illnesses, diseases of consciousness, old age, and disabilities will result in point deductions, as will an arrest, regardless of whether one is found guilty.
Having too large a carbon footprint, or asking too many questions, will result in point deductions, as will caring too much about your family.
You lose social points if you violate your identity, say something that makes someone uncomfortable about who he or she is, where he or she is from, or what he or she looks like, or say something that doesn’t make him or her feel good.
If you show micro-aggression, or stir up hatred, you will be punished. If you act in a threatening, abusive, or insulting manner, you will get in trouble just as if you communicate threatening, abusive, or insulting material to another person.
Your intent is irrelevant. The complainant need only say that he or she was offended. Writers, actors, film or theater directors can be charged if someone finds their material offensive.

NEAT would triangulate responses to aggregate evidence and determine whether the person reading the stimuli believes it is true, false, or indeterminate.
According to the Pentagon’s research grant, NEAT aims to develop a new cognitive science tool that identifies suicidal individuals based on preconscious brain signals, rather than asking questions and waiting for consciously filtered answers.
While the mental health of soldiers is a serious concern for the Department of Defense, the applications emerging from the NEAT program have the very real potential to enable governments and corporations to hack people at the preconscious level.

This is already being done to some extent with dogs and cats and other pets, and also with wild animals. Finally, there is the last horror vision of mental surveillance and control, that the human beings’ thoughts and feelings are also controlled, as well as their desires, needs, wishes, actions, deeds and behaviour. And if this really does come to this point, this mental control, as certain visions of the future have shown in modern times since the 1960s and even since ancient times, then the human beings will be completely robbed of their personal freedom by the rulers of governments. And indeed, for some time now, there has been much evidence that everything is evolving towards the visions.
