Because in all 4 articles attached, the emphasis is on a rail link to W.Bay. Plus Beira is hallow. Maputo port is a possibility though.... and certainly the preferred option by India. One mention is made re a line through Zimbabwe that exits at Kasangula. This would go through to Tete where RIV have their massive deposit. But no way would world bank invest in Zim whilst Zanu PF thugs rule the country. In addition i read last week that Germany is preparing to close all its remaining coal mines which have become uneconomic along with poor quality coal. Until serious investment in nuclear power eventuates, European demand for coal will continue to grow.
