A load of balderdash. Rome, the pagan empire certainly did lots of stuff and loaded the Church with a long history of martyrs who died for their faith. Do you reject their martyrdom as a sign of their faith, faith in the church of Rome and the See of Peter? They died rejecting those pagan gods so how could the church then endorse such blasphemies?
