I hear you - but I don't think that's how human nature works. The notion that technology will reduce the need for travel, or for human face-to-face time, has been around for a long time. I do agree that we will likely get acclimatised to reduced office days (perhaps regularly working from home, say 2 or 3 days are week). This will have great benefits (think reduced traffic congestion, reduced public transport congestion, reduced CO2 emissions etc).

That said, I don't think it will change human nature. The phone did not reduce the urge for people to meet. Increased links via technology, in my opinion, simply increase the desire for face-to-face interaction. The urge/need to meet on a daily basis, is different from the urge/need to meet infrequently (travel).

No, for me, the future of travel is bright.
