    Don't the Chinese love gold? Surely it would suffer if their economy crashed. Anyway, the safest place in a disaster situation would be cash. Contrary to what gold bugs tell you, people are not just going to give up on the cash system. If they did, the situation would be so dire that gold would be worthless. -Everyone would just be trying to get food and shelter.
