In the end , this thread should be about what are the most efficient ways of raising tax, independent of the overall tax take.
Even if Australia were to make itself an even lower tax society[despite already being towards the bottom end already in developed countries] whatever tax raised should be raised efficiently and fairly.

Conservatives will be happy at with what level of taxes and expenditure by the way?
I do get the impression that any tax they have to pay = bad, only expenditure which benefits them = good
