It depends , To some , negative geared bringing the tax bracket down is important , tax savings of approx $14k, $18k or above $105k . which would you rather , have three negative geared property and sell after retirement (where income is zero) , pay cgt of 50% of sales profit or pay tax of above $105k each year because you just passed the highest tax bracket. so 10 years is $1,050,000 of tax paid !!
