Not convinced myself entirely either, but investing into the Asian / emerging economy growth can be worthwhile, if done the right way and timed right (not easy!!). Currency can be hedged and gain, if done right can work for you and perhaps be the main return (as in 2011 and other times AUD is rising).

Unfortunately, to do the above efficiently might using a managed fund that is 'managed'. I know that I'm as good as swearing on this forum by mentioning them, but if you are not just wanting an index, they can work, just not as a set and forget strategy as many people do.

Now, let's see what interesting responses I get to the above rude words......
