I might be wrong but doesn't debt give a company more assets?
A company with no debt is considered to be less desirable than a company with some debt, especially for a large company. (Since small companies would be unlikely to pay back large debts)
Also, it's not like they have to pay off all of it all at once?
Would be good to get some legit feedback from someone with business background
