Opposition to Hicks being held so long has surely been a process of evolutuion.

Some people haver been against Hicks being held in Cubas from day one.

Some people became against it after a couple of years, and some people have become against if after, say, five years.

Some people have never been against it.

It's a bit rich to criticise the government when they were basically relaxed about it, and then be equally critical when they decide it's gone on too long.

Hicks best defence has always been delay - he is now much more of a victim than a offender.
