I was taught at school that Australia had 1 in 4 public servants. That probably hasn't changed over the 40 years since, regardless of governments. There aren't enough businesses to employ all the population in private industry.As we have had Liberal governments most of the time, what do you suggest? There is also the possibility of nationalisation returning due to global warming and ageing population, plus shortage of resources. Be prepared for some big changes in coming years.
