Make no mistake, Howard has been caught out and brought under the light as Bush/Cheney’s propaganda machine down under. Italy's President has accepted Prime Minister Romano Prodi's resignation following the Government's defeat in a Senate vote on foreign policy.
Divided over the Afghan war and ties with the US military, Mr Prodi's centre-left government was unable to secure enough votes for a motion backing Italy's foreign policy. Others now are leaving, why?

The Howard Government has described Britain's plan to withdraw troops from Iraq "good sense", despite previously warning any withdrawal of coalition troops would create mayhem and bloodshed in the war-torn country.

British Prime Minister Tony Blair announced the withdrawal of 1600 troops from the country's 7100-strong contingent last night, shortly followed by Denmark announcing it would remove all 460 Danish ground troops from Iraq and replace them with a small helicopter unit.
