Plus a bunch of religious nutters with the balance of powerin the Senate.
Actually, this might have been a good election for labor to lose as the US economy goes into recession and the world catches cold...
Add also the real chance of serious escalation in world conflict if Bush is also re-elected. As Howard is in Bush's back pocket guess who will be holding Georgie's hand as he preempts into Iran...?
