inflation will help to push interest rates higher. Offical inflation figures are rubbery at best and are used to rob cpi adjusted pensions etc. Real interest rates are probably around 2-3% and negative in the USA, this can't be sustained especially as real inflation continues to rise. The US of A inflating away its debt by printing money will obviously effect australia as well.
