I don't have the numbers in front of me but 100 years ago we were like number 2 in the world and now 9.
It it is obvious that population increase is a negative. If Australia is worth a zillion dollars and there are more owners, then the individual wealth must decrease.
When we had unlimited resources when the reapers had it made. With unlimited space, and water and lack of social conflict, how could the standard of living not been higher then.
