Your response debono indicates that you have not read my post properly. Why should Howard be trusted? Has he at any time clearly stated that he would NOT invade Iraq unless there was UN approval? When he sends troops to the gulf along with two powers who say they ARE PREPARED to invade unilaterally and no other countries are doing this, should this increase our confidence? Hardly. You are either very naive or you have made your decision that invasion is justified under any circumstances.
Kindly do not make assumptions about my views. I have said that if the UN decides to sanction an invasion I'm prepared to go along with that and I have not changed that view. As I have stated before, I believe that if we are to have any chance at peace, a respect for the UN is our only chance. That said, I see little possibility for such a sanction and am comforted by that.
