hi brian, nothing wrong with disagreement of opinion so long as we are civil about it.....sure maybe the Democrats dudded their voters and sure misty, maybe Howard got less than 50% of the vote in that election. But to put GST down as another Howard lie is disingenuous.

He put the GST policy up before the election, so he was open about it.

I do think he is sneaky but also think Rudd is of the same mould. At least Latham was bold and honest but it didn't get him far, probably because he had other flaws. But he did believe in what he was doing.
