Interesting read specially where Newexco "aside from Sirius the only other company in the Fraser Range for whom the firm has agreed to consult." Reading between the lines it looks like Newexco believe that there is a genuine probability that SEG will find something

The guts of this story is that market tiddler Segue Resources Ltd is undertaking a systematic and rigorously scientific approach to exploration of its ground in the Fraser Range, Western Australia, scene of arguably the most significant new nickel-copper discovery world-wide in some years.
Spearheading the Segue search is Dr Howard Carr, a can-do, entrepreneurial-type geologist unafraid of getting his hands dirty.
Carr, whose doctorate in the 90s covered potholes in the platinum-rich Bushveld, has previously worked in the resources sector as an analyst with Macquarie, and as a managing director, geologist and project generator for various other companies in Australia and globally.
With fellow executive director Steven Michael concentrating on the corporate side of the company, Carr and his team have set about designing the most efficient and effective way to test the ground that Segue holds north-east of Sirius Resources’ outstanding Nova-Bollinger nickel-copper discoveries.
Renowned exploration consultancy Newexco has also been involved and, according to Carr, this is noteworthy, given aside from Sirius, Segue is the only other company in the Fraser Range for whom the firm has agreed to consult.
Segue’s next work on the ground will include a close-spaced ground-electromagnetic (EM) survey beginning in January, targeting about 15 of the so-called “eye” magnetic targets considered highly prospective in the wake of Sirius’ success.
Carr and his team have produced a simple but comprehensive flowchart showing Segue’s planned work and assessment process in the months ahead.
Providing a step-by-step illustration of the exploration roadmap and possible outcome, the clarity has reportedly been well-received by the professional investment sector to which Segue recently marketed in Perth, Sydney and Melbourne.
For what it’s worth, Segue has been a good market performer in recent weeks, though stocks that are trading at less than A1c do inherently possess plenty of leverage for traders and investors alike.
Segue will need funds in the first half of next year.
Carr told Mining Journal Segue had been given indications that an undisclosed cashed-up gold company was keen to back the company should positive bedrock drilling results follow the ground EM work.
That’s positive, though chances are Segue won’t have too much trouble attracting significant interest from a swag of third parties if first-pass bedrock drilling is promising.
Segue was capitalised this week at A$4 million (US$3.6 million) on a fully diluted basis.
