Still around the ~300 mark (1500+ new cases a week). Another 16 dead.

I think that we are still maintaining ~300 new cases a day and are 5 weeks into lockdown (2 weeks into stage 4) is pretty concerning. We were around the 20 - 30 mark when we went into stage 3, and it started to climb from there. Even if we get below 100 at the end of stage 4 I can't see us going back into stage 3 unless we are are in a better position than when we first originally went into stage 3.

    NSW will follow shortly.

Also the media is pushing hopium of a vaccine deal happening in the next few days. They don't even know if that vaccine will be successful or not! Not only that, they mentioned if it is successful it will be months before it hits the market. So our best hope at minimum is months - if the vaccine is successful which currently has a 70% chance of failure. That is our best case scenario. This is not over by a long shot.
