IMO - it's real issue - when do you go against principle for a knee jerk?
lets assume that Palmer went ahead and the feds didn't interfere
and, without the clout of the feds ------------ Palmer won
but, wouldn't have won without Morrisons support -
what has actually happened in that case?
In that case - a HUGE PRECEDENT has been set -------- and it overturns states rights
this is not lightweight stuff ---------- covid or no covid
the thing that really sucks for me is that -------- IMO - Morrison didn't do the support in the first place for anything like principle -
he did it purely for politics
then, because people - including people on here - including righties - said
this sucks --
then, Morrison - purely for politics ----------------- said 'oh shit, even our righties this this sucks' ----------- let's back out of this
IMO - there wasn't a principle within cooee
from where I sit atm - in Oz - I cannot see any politician at all that gets into politics to actually serve the nation (at federal level) -
not one
now, there must be one or a few - but, my god - they are bloody difficult to find in among the self serving slimy creatures with nfi that we've got and had now for years
all their decisions are made from a point of serving the self as individuals or their party with their dud philosophies and ideologies
