It seems unsatisfactory that we can find out a pair of buds go out the door with every sale of the relevant laptop via a call centre enquiry but can't confirm such or hear such from the company. It's a strange kind of confidentiality where you can know but you just can't be told by a certain entity.

thats one thing. Another thing, have posters just assumed the company hasn't told because it's confidential or have the company told us "we can't tell you whether a pair go with every laptop due to confidentiality agreements"?

am I right in saying that all we really know is they haven't told us, not the reason why they haven't told us?

sure, you like the company but you can do that without having to defend every single thing. It's not like their communication record is outstanding....

it would be great to know for sure, seems important.
