It's a patent for a brain inspired processor, but from what Green56FJ said, they've been working on memristor SNN tech for over 20 years.
None of the terminology that IndepthDiver highlighted is specific to Brainchip, just neuromorphics.
On the surface, to me, it looks like HP, seeing the rush around the World into neuromorphic technology, dug up their old research and punched out a patent to get in on the game..
Why would the patent necessarily have anything to do with us?
