the future demand for 4 N HPA
and this along with a number of other resasons is
why
I am wishing and praying
(and wish KRR splits the HPA away into a seperate company)
KRR drops the waste of chasing gold dreams
and
drives directly like an arrow in flight
for a HPA production plant based in or near by Perth
with all the huge range of advantages including cost and staffing
of a city based production
over playing in the dirt a few hundred ks away from
any where and all the associated problems and dramas that must follow
and as there are not, (please correct me if I am wrong)
at present anybody or bodies
on the Board with chemical engeering background
then surely there must be a demand, a requirement for such a person or two on the companies Board
( come on TB go find a suitable chemist and forget that gold stuff...and get this HPA on the road, so to speak, please)
in my mind the future income ( and dividend.for you and I ..)
producer for for KRC is HPA
(and not could be as in gold)
(4N HPA currently sells for between US$20,000 and US$30,000 per tonne. ...)
and remember the demand will only grow rapidly for HPA
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
HPA is a high-value, high-margin and highly demanded product required in the production of synthetic sapphire for the fabrication of substrates for LED lights, semiconductor wafers for the electronics industry and scratch-resistant sapphire glass.
HPA is also increasingly consumed in the manufacture of lithium-ion batteries, where it is applied as a coating on the polymer anode/cathode separator sheets used in batteries to reduce separator shrinkage and battery combustibility.
According to an independent market study commissioned by ............, global 4N (that is, a purity level of 99.99% or greater) HPA demand was around 19,000tpa in 2018 and is estimated to increase at a compound annual growth rate of 30% to about 272,000tpa by 2028, driven primarily by the rapidly expanding lithium-ion battery and LED manufacturing sectors.
Mr ......... said demand growth for 4N HPA would also be driven by electric vehicle developments within Europe.
“Lithium-ion battery cell manufacturing capacity already under construction in Europe amounts to 300KWh annually by 2025. Demand for HPA as a coating on battery separators from such annual production is estimated at 25,000 tonnes per year,” he said.
