The proven Erzreseve of FYI goes back more than 50 years!
The ore reserve amounts to 2.89 million tons with an average of 24.4 percent Al2O3. This reserve would be sufficient for an annual production of 8,000 tonnes of High Purity Alumina (HPA) for more than 50 years.
In the pre-feasibility presented, a life span of the mine of 25 years had been calculated.
Unlike a mineral resource, a mineral reserve is calculated by engineers using all relevant economic factors. A reserve is therefore the highest possible level for a mining project and already provides a realistic production scenario.
In the case of Cadoux, the engineers could afford the luxury of discounting about two-thirds of Cadoux's known resources and limiting themselves to Cadoux's fillet.
This part of the deposit is particularly easy to access and has a very constant Roherz quality.
Likewise, the engineers suggest that there seems to be potential for further income, for example, through the marketing of the Gangmaterials, which accounts for about half of the promoted Abbaumenge.
The research into High Purity Quartz, (HPQ) will be part of the upcoming feasibility study. Regardless, there is the possibility to further expand the reserves.
