Trying to predict what politicians are thinking and how they will act in the future is almost impossible in Australia. To guess the same thing of Chinese communist politicians must be by nature even harder I would have thought.

One thing I do believe and that is China is genuinely trying to reign in illegal REE mining and stop rampant environmental damage. So many country folk have moved to the cities and the internet is moving into even the backwaters of China. There is a new era of accountability as China hussles to take the lead in renuable technologies.

If I am sure of nothing else in the future of REEs one thing i will bank on is that greatly increased regulation of the Chinese REE industry will greatly increase production costs. Who will pay, as always the consumer. What will this do to prices, put futher long term pressure upwards.

The other stuff like will China try to crush competitors, the first one , the second one, all of them, none of them got no idea really. Fairly confident in prices continuing up in the foresable future though.

Great initial post by the way Oneforthe.

    Cheers Trtech
