    The logic has been explained earlier in this thread. You keep the price low, trading between accounts. Because whoever is doing it presumably has a level of conviction that they believe the price is higher than it is now. When someone has to exit, for one reason or another, the buyer can pick up shares at a lower price. Reality is, not everyone is in the know, or some people need money for whatever reason and sell out of investments. Someone looks at their HRZ holding, thinks it's not performing, isn't invested in its fundamentals, they sell at a loss.

    This stock isn't heavily traded so this kind of manipulation is easier to conduct.

    It's as simple as asking yourself the same question. If you wanted to keep a stock price low, shake out some hands, and pick up shares cheap? Could you do it to a company like say, CBA? Probably not. But as aforementioned low volume traded stock you can pull the price down with the instant buy/sell listing we're seeing.

    This is an observable phenomenon over many stocks in a similar state. Happy to provide a wealth of examples or stocks to watch for this exact type. Manipulation is rife in the ASX.
