Before I write this post you guys are going to call me an idiot, I suggest we could dig and ship our gold ore overseas for sale or processing.
Back of the envelope calculation and rough as pineapples, here goes.
Iron ore gets about US$90t 1Mt of iron ore goes to China by ship worth US$90M
Gold gets about US$2600oz 1Mt of gold ore from Boorora at 1.24g/t is 1,240,000g is 40,000oz sent to Chine by ship worth US$104M
Should the grade be greater with inclusion of high grade Burbanks ore in the mix there would be more ounces in the shipment.
The Chinese buy iron by the shipload why not gold ore.
Esperance has a good port to ship from.
