The current tech for use via satellites requires special hardware at each end.
They are currently developing a downloadable software version that will work on 4g, 5g and fixed line broadband. So it seems to me that's exactly where they are headed.
The questions for me are 1. What other tech is out there that can do the same thing? 2. Can they actually make it work(they are currently beta testing which suggests they can) and 3. Will the telco's pay up to use their tech?
